Future Looking Bright for Titans

SOUTH BEND, Ind – The Titans 2017 season ended after falling to the University of Saint Francis in their fourth game of the CCAC conference tournament.

Despite falling short of winning the conference tournament and a bid to the NAIA national tournament, the Titans have a lot to look forward to. IUSB ended their season winning 12 of their last 15 games, highlighted by victories over #1 seed Judson University and #2 seed Olivet Nazarene University in the conference tournament.

The Titans showed numerous glimpses of the team they could be toward the end of the year, having their longest winning streak reach 7 games and beating NCAA DI Indiana University-Purdue Universty Fort Wayne.

The future for IUSB is looking bright with their first conference tournament appearance under their belt, and some big wins to end the season.

However, a change to the coaching staff could impact next season as IUSB has parted ways with the head coach and is currently searching to fill the position. The Titans finished the final 7 games of the season under interim head coach Jon Koepf, who said he intended to apply for the position.

The following Titans earned postseason awards and were honored at the CCAC tournament. Followed are some of the stat leaders for the 2017 season.

-          Chris Mangus: First team all-conference (1B), CCAC Player of the Year
-          Spencer McCool: Second team all-conference (OF)
-          Tanner Wesp: Second team all-conference (1B)
